The narrow 14 km road between Canada’s Lake Louise and Moraine Lake offers some spectacular clifftop views to the east. But don’t neglect to look to the west, either.

I nearly drove right by this unmarked mountain stream without even noticing. A quick look at the map revealed that the water is flowing from the Paradise Valley of Banff National Park. I think that’s a pretty appropriate designation.
